Sylmasta Pipe Refurbishment System Stage 1
Sylmasta Leak Sealant products are used for the repair and sealing of holes and cracks in burst and leaking pipes, forming the first stage of the Sylmasta Pipe Refurbishment System. Leak Sealants are effective on pipes of all diameters made from steel, copper, plastics, malleable iron, GRP, ceramic, clay, concrete, rubber, and lead.
Where pressure cannot be turned off, Wrap & Seal Pipe Burst Tape is wrapped around pipework, fusing into a silicone rubber band which seals live leaks. For live leak repairs on pipes in excess of 150mm diameter, SylPad used in conjunction with Wrap & Seal increases pressure resistance.
When flow can be isolated, 114g Superfast Epoxy Putty Sticks make fast repairs to small holes and cracks in offline pipes. Different formulations are manufactured for specific pipe substrates. Most Superfast Sticks having a work time of five minutes or less.
Sylmasta AB Original Epoxy Putty comes with a two-hour work time, enabling greater quantities to be mixed and more careful application without the threat of premature of curing. It comes in a pre-formatted 114g stick and is used to seal larger holes in complex repairs.
Sylmasta AB Rapid 5 Minute takes the fast work time of a Superfast Epoxy Putty Stick and combines it with the super-strength formulation of AB Original. It comes as a two-part putty, requiring measuring out of Part A and Part B from separate containers.
Wrap & Seal, Superfast Steel, Superfast Copper and Superfast Aqua PW all have WRAS approval, meaning they are certified as safe to use for leak sealing on pipes carrying drinking water.
WRAS approved repair tape made from self-amalgamating silicone. It is used as a leak sealant for live leaks, stretching by 300% as wrapped and fusing together to form a solid rubber band over the hole or crack.

Steel-filled, WRAS approved epoxy putty in an easy-to-use, pre-formatted 114g stick. It has a quick work time for sealing smaller holes and cracks in industrial pipework when pressure can be turned off.

Superfast Aqua PW Epoxy Putty Stick
WRAS approved epoxy putty in an easy-to-use, pre-formatted 114g stick. It has a specialist formulation enabling very high wet surface adhesion for sealing leaks and cracks in underwater pipework.

Ceramic filled, super-strength putty in a pre-formatted 200g stick which seals larger cracks in pipes of all materials. It has high chemical resistance, is effective underwater and has a two hour work time.
