Superfast Plastic Epoxy Putty Stick is a fast-working epoxy putty in an easy-to-use stick format which permanently repairs and bonds all major plastic types except polyolefins (polyethylene/polypropylene). It is most commonly used for plastic pipe repair applications.
Each Plastic Stick weighs 114g, has a nominal 22mm diameter and is 175mm long. It contains resin on the outside and hardener in the middle. The user simply cuts off the required amount of putty from the Stick and kneads by hand before applying to the substrate to be repaired or bonded.
Superfast Plastic is pushed into cracks and holes in plastic pipework when pressure is turned off. It will cure to a rock-hard material, sealing the leak with pressure resistance to 30 bar. It is used to fix leaking bathroom, kitchen and industrial pipes made from PVC, ABS and many other types of plastic
Away from pipe repair, Superfast Plastic fixes broken plastic items by bonding parts back together, including garden furniture. It permanently bonds plastic to other materials such as metal, wood, glass and masonry.
Where plastic has become damaged or is missing, Superfast Plastic works as a filler. It sets to a white colour to seamlessly blend in with existing surfaces. The cured material can be tapped, drilled, screwed, sawed, machined, ground, filed, or painted.
Superfast Plastic is resistant to water, chemicals and temperatures up to 150ºC. It makes interior or exterior repairs. Within 2-3 hours of application, systems can be put back into full use.

Superfast Plastic Epoxy Putty Stick Details
To use a Superfast Plastic Stick, the amount of epoxy putty required is cut off and kneaded by hand until it turns from its initial blue colour to a uniform white with no streaks.
Whilst soft, the putty is pushed into holes and cracks in pipes and gaps in other plastic items where it will cure, sealing and filling areas of damage. For bonding, you apply the putty and use it to attach the pieces requiring repair together.
Superfast Plastic has a work life of approximately 20 minutes. Within 30–40 minutes, it will harden and form a cohesive bond. A full repair is completed in 2–3 hours.
It contains no solvents or VOC’s, it is non-flammable and releases no noxious fumes. It will not shrink or pull away and the unused portion of Plastic Stick stays fresh for future use when saved in its original package.
Pipe repairs made with Superfast Plastic Stick can be overwrapped with a SylWrap Pipe Repair Bandage for added reinforcement.
SylWrap Bandage can be purchased along with Superfast Steel Epoxy Putty as part of the SylWrap Standard Pipe Repair Kit. The Standard Kit fixes leaking pipes of most materials, including plastic.
Please note that Superfast Plastic is only effective for fixing a leaking plastic pipe where water pressure can be turned off. For carrying out live leak pipe repairs, please see Wrap & Seal Waterproof Pipe Burst Tape.
