Pack & Seal is a non-setting putty for gap sealing, electrical and other applications where it is beneficial to be able to remove repair material in future. It is water-resistant, easily peeled away and can be reused, enabling installations which have been sealed to undergo repair or replacement.
In electrical application, Pack & Seal packs out electrical junction boxes to prevent moisture and dust ingress. It seals around cable runs, forms removable cable glands and dampens the vibration of wires to prevent them coming loose
Away from electrical repairs, Pack & Seal temporarily blocks gaps and holes through walls, metal and most other substrates. It creates removable seals around pipes. It is used for making gaskets between extremely uneven surfaces, and any other type of application where a non-setting solution is useful.
Two versions of Pack & Seal are available. Pack & Seal Red is fire-retardant and coloured bright red for easy identification of where it has been applied, alerting users to the possibility of its removal. It comes in an easy-to-use, 100g stick.
Pack & Seal Clear is translucent, allowing the condition of wiring to be seen through the putty and the reading of PCB labels without the need for putty removal.
Its transparency also enables it to blend against background surfaces when sealing through walls. It is supplied in a 30g stick or a bulk package size of 500g. Unlike Pack & Seal Red, Clear is not fire-retardant.
About
Pack & Seal Non-Setting Electrical Sealing Putty Details
Pack & Seal is straightforward to use. Simply break off the amount of putty required from the stick and push it firmly into the area requiring sealing.
Once no gaps have been left in the electrical box, area around cables, hole or pipe being sealed, the application is complete.
To regain access to the area filled with Pack & Seal, simply peel out the putty. It can be reused after removal. When stored in unopened in a cool, dry location and out of direct sunlight, Pack & Seal has a minimum shelf life of 12 months.
When sealing junction boxes against moisture, Wrap & Seal Pipe Burst Tape can be used in conjunction with Pack & Seal. After filling the cavity with putty, cables can be wrapped using Wrap & Seal, which fuses to itself to create a solid rubber layer of insulation.
