CAE1500 High Viscosity (Thick) Cyanoacrylate Superglue

It is used in repair and restoration, assembly, kit building and model making applications. CAE1500 Superglue is capable of filling gaps due to being 1250-1850 cps thick. The cyanoacrylate formulation of CAE1500 Superglue enables it to bond difficult substrates in lower humidity situations.

The extended cure time of CAE1500 Superglue makes it a popular adhesive for DIY. On PVC plastic, CAE1500 cures in 5 to 10 seconds. On steel, it cures in 25 to 40 seconds. Cure time on nitrile rubber, neoprene and EPDM is around 7 seconds.

On porous surfaces like wood, fabric and paper, CAE1500 Superglue has a cure time of less than one second. This enables instant bonding. For specific cure times based on substrate, please see the Technical Data Sheet.

CAE1500 Superglue sets clear and has a softening point of approximately 130°C. It achieves a full cure in 24 hours and is available in 20g or 500g bottles.

CAE1500 High Viscosity Cyanoacrylate Superglue Details

Sylmasta CAE1500 Superglue is effective on surfaces including plastic, wood, rubber, porcelain, fine china, ceramics and jewellery. Parts requiring repair are held together whilst the superglue bonds, based on the cure time for the substrate.

The cure time of CAE1500 Superglue can be accelerated through the use of Superglue Activator. This is useful in applications requiring significant volumes of superglue, such as gap filling or bonding wide joints.
